Q:
The thought of an expanding universe is fascinating. With that in mind, can "time" or the passage of time in our reality, speed up or go by faster?

A:
It is all relative. Time in a galaxy in the galaxy cluster 3C295 that is receding from us as part of the overall expansion of the universe will appear to pass about 46% more slowly to us since it is located at a distance corresponding to a red shift of 46%, or about 5 billion light years. Conversely, residents of that galaxy would observe that our Milky Way Galaxy is receding from them, and that time in our galaxy is passing more slowly.
