Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 1 November 2013 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A Chandra image release was issued on Oct 28 to celebrate and support American Archive Month. Chandra's archive enables access to its observations for scientists and the public. The primary role of Chandra's archive is to store and distribute data from the mission. For details see: http://chandra.si.edu/photo/2013/archives/

Of note this week was the Einstein Fellows Symposium held in Cambridge MA on Oct 29-30. Presentations were made by 29 current Fellows, covering a wide range of topics in observational and theoretical astrophysics research. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of GRB 130907A, which were accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Sep 27.
