Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 18 February 2005 9.00am EST

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was completed on February 11 to update the on-board ephemeris.

A Chandra press release was made on Feb 15 describing results from the best black hole survey to date made with Chandra. The results indicate that the very largest black holes reach a certain point and then grow no more. The release also describes the discovery of many previously hidden black holes that are well below their weight limit. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/05_releases/press_021505.html
