Operations CXO Status Report

Sunday 17 October 1999 9.00am EST

During the last 24 hours Chandra exited the radiation belts, performed a post-belt CTI measurement for both ACIS-I and ACIS-S and commenced GTO observations with ACIS. The target 4U 1636-53 was observed with ACIS-S and HETG, and the targets RX J0439.0+071 and A267 with ACIS-S. Modified ACIS parameter blocks were uplinked at the start of each observation to ensure the appropriate CCD and FEP combination. During the next 24 hours Chandra will observe the targets CL 0107+31, RX J1720.1+2638 and Cygnus X-3.

The spacecraft systems continued to operate nominally.
