Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 5 October 2018 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on Oct 3 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

Of note this week was the Einstein Fellows Symposium held in Cambridge MA on Oct 2-3. Presentations were made by 24 current Fellows, covering a wide range of topics in observational and theoretical astrophysics research.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below, and includes an observation of GS 1354-64, which which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Sep 26 and is coordinated with ATCA, an observation of AT2018gep, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Sep 23 and an observation of IGRJ17591-2342, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Oct 4.
